I wish I’d known Charlotte Burrows many years ago when I faced significant harassment where I worked. After interviewing her about the highly charged issues of harassment, discrimination and gender pay inequities, I am so glad to be able to share her strategies and resources with everyone who feels they have been harassed or discriminated against in the workplace. The EEOC filed 50% more lawsuits alleging sexual harassment in FY 2018 than in the previous year, and collected almost twice as much compensation during that time as well.
As a Commissioner of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for 4 years, since December 2014 having been nominated by President Obama, she is a non-partisan defender of employees. Her goal is to make it as easy as possible for anyone to have the opportunity to seek legal protection in the workplace, so she shared terrific tips and insights in this raw, yet highly informative conversation with Green Connections Radio host Joan Michelson.
