Homes and buildings use an astonishing 40 percent of energy in the US – but author Sheri Koones shows us another way. Her book series of “Prefabulous” homes – from economy to luxury – give you a tour of the homes and how they were built so you can learn how to do it too.

If you think “prefab” means mobile home, think again and listen in to this engaging interview with Green Connections host Joan Michelson. Considering the massive waste that home-building generates, prefab makes a lot of sense and seems so obvious. These homes also giving you a very cool, incredibly energy-efficient, place to rest your weary head in the style of your choice.

Oh and find out how she got Robert Redford to write the forwards to her books!

They take a tour of the luxury homes all over the world featured in Koones’ latest book, “Prefabulous World” and explore the techniques European builders are using that are not in the U.S. (gorgeous photos with lots of detail, really a how-to book).
